Important: PLA is not ideal for high-heat environments, sustained mechanical loads, or outdoor exposure. If your part needs to handle heat above 50°C or significant stress, consider PETG instead.
When to Choose Something Else
PLA is great, but it's not the right choice for everything:
- Need heat resistance above 57°C? → Choose PETG
- Need high stiffness and strength? → Choose PA12 Carbon Fiber
- Need flexibility or impact resistance? → Choose TPU 68D
- Need outdoor durability? → Choose PETG
